Week 5 The saw blade dillema
For this week I wanted to add working damage calculations on enemy objects. As you can see in the first video it didn't go exactly as planned. The problem I was facing is that there was no invincibility period after getting damaged which resulted in touching something and immediately dying.
I fixed this by adding an invincibility check that makes sure you can't be hit for 2 seconds after getting hit by the same object . This can pose future problems if I wanted the character to be immune to everything after getting hit but for now it doesn't matter.
We also made a presentation for our chosen games and explained the important parts of the analysis for them as a training pitch for next week. We also got feedback for that presentation that I will post below this:
Description:
Took the most interesting parts of the analysis of both games instead of describing every aspect of the games which kept it interesting. Good job on comparing both games and trying to see similarities, the attributes were present in the pitch.
Connections:
Explained more about the storytelling of the game which they found the most interesting part and the way they told it made it quite intriguing. Also, it had great connections between the start of the games and how the overall story line overlaps there.
Conclusions:
Good conclusion about the story, the most interesting part about the two games (since you need to look for a story in them).
