Week 10 our watch has ended
So after working really hard to finish everything we wanted to do for the prototype we finally made it, in the attachment is a full playtrough of the first level.
A few problems we ran into during making the last additions were how we were going to link the items to the puzzle and where to place the items. We settled on giving the items descriptions with the color in it, and you get each item in the order of the puzzle order. For the item spawn locations the previous part simplified this.
The rope you get from pushing a box of a cliff and than a rock on that box, which is fairly easy to miss at the beginning of the level. But we hope people will realize it sooner rather than later.
The DNA strain you get from killing a purple looking alien which we think most of our players are going to kill anyway. So if they missed the rope they notice there is a missing inventory spot for it.
And for the hat they have to get it to actually finish the level so this one is a guarantee.
Anyways we are really pleased on our cooperation together and it was a fun game to make and participate in. We hope this is sufficient and are looking forward to continuing our GDT course and hopefully even continue working on this game!
